Parking in Middelburg (English)

P-route
Along the access roads into the city centre of Middelburg, you will find ‘P-route’ signs. The P-route will show you a quick way to the various car parks and parking garages.
City centre
In the entire city centre of Middelburg, you may park in the street only within the marked parking spaces. Paid parking is in effect from monday to saturday from 8.00 am until 8.00 pm. Maximum parking time, which zone you’re in and parking rates vary per location and are indicated on every parking ticket machine. Please pay at the ticket machine or you log in via a parking app.
Parking garages
The parking garages can be reached easily following the P-route and are all situated near the city centre. The garages are open 24/7 all year round. Paid parking is in effect from monday to saturday from 8.00 am until 8.00 pm. Except in P2 (Het Groene Woud), here you must paid parking till 21.00 hours on Thursday and Friday.
Parking spaces for the disabled
If you have a disabled parking permit, you can park for free for an unlimited time in all parking spaces in the city centre. This goes for both the nonpersonalized parking spaces for the disabled as well as any other parking space.
Overnight stays forbidden on Camperparkingzone
According to the General Local Ordinance Middelburg article 5.22, it is not permitted to spend the night outside a camping site.
Sundays and public holidays
On Sundays and national public holidays, parking is free throughout Middelburg. This also goes for parking garages.
Blue zone
Just outside the city centre, there is a so-called blue zone. This is indicated by a blue stripe on the curb. This is an area where you may park for a maximum of two hours if you have a blue parking disc and you park your car at the blue line. The blue zone is in effect from Monday to Saturday from 8.00 am until 8.00 pm.
