The Station area is located near the Canal through Walcheren and is being developed to become the modern centre of the town. The Station area is a real prime location; it is close to the railway and the historic town centre. The first offices, i.e. the Zeeland Islands Water Board, the Department of Waterways and Public Works (Zeeland office) and the town council have all relocated their offices here already.
